HW3 Photo Competition Homework Deadline Week beginning 26th November

Y8 Should hand in a photo as part of their photography unit in art.

We want you to take a photo which shows our island, our

community, our school – photos of people, places or events.

We are planning to publish all the winning photos into a book at 

the end of the academic year.

Hand in your entry as soon as possible to your art teacher and no

later than the week beginning 26th November. 

Photos should be taken between September and November 2018

Art Homework 4 & 5 Autumn Term

Presentation will be part of the assessment for each homework.

        HW4 Due in week beginning Nov 26th Answer the Questions having watched the video and looked at the website of Darren Pearson 

        1. What is Light – art photography?2. What do you need in order to draw with light?3. How would you set up a camera to take a Light Painting?
        4. Using pictures and text explain how you can make a Light Painting photo.          5. Click on the LP friends link and add one of your favourite images and add a brief caption with the name of the artist /the name of the artwork /and why you like the work.

HW 5 Due in week beginning December 3rd Write about the work of Darren Pearson  and include - a title (Darren Pearson aka DariusTwin) 

- 3 photographs of his work
- a brief biography (information about the artist)
- explain about the type/style of photos the artist creates.
Extension - using one of the photographs tell a story about what you see what happened before and/or after the photo was taken.

 

Optional Challenge - create your own piece of light art - this might also be entered into the

photo competition.
